Implementation of Relief Projects in Gaza with Generous Donations from HCEF, KTH Initiative, and Haya Washington Foundation
The Haya Washington Foundation, the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF), and the Know Your Heritage (KTH) initiative continue their support for displaced families in Gaza.
On Monday, August 18, 2024, with generous donations from HCEF, KTH, and Haya Washington, a food distribution was organized and provided to 320 displaced families in the Middle Governorate, specifically in the Bureij Camp and Abu Hmeisa School.
This support is part of the Haya Washington Foundation's relief efforts amid the ongoing famine in Gaza. This collaboration reflects a strong commitment to humanitarian aid and addressing the urgent needs of those facing severe hardships. The situation in Gaza is extremely critical, with residents struggling not only with hunger but also with very limited access to clean water, sanitation, and healthcare.
The risk of disease outbreaks remains high, posing a potential health disaster, especially among the tens of thousands suffering from injuries and malnutrition. Overcrowded living conditions and inadequate shelter further exacerbate the risk of epidemics.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, members and supporters of HCEF, HAYA, and KTH have come together, driven by a profound sense of solidarity.
Jihan Al-Husseini, CEO of the Haya Washington Foundation, emphasized the critical nature of the situation in Gaza. She highlighted the necessity for justice, a ceasefire, and immediate assistance, urging individuals to donate generously. Likewise, Ratib Rabi, President of HCEF and KTH, called for urgent support for these efforts, stressing that every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in saving lives
